Restaurant in Oberammergau
Guests who book half-board will enjoy a four-course dinner menu of choice or
a dinner buffet with warm and cold dishes prepared in our restaurant.
Vegetarians can look forward to a vegetarian main dish and a selection of fresh
salads. Our team will be happy to put together a special menu for vegan guests
or those who suffer from allergies.
You also have the choice of ordering from our à-la-carte menu if you are in the mood for something
different. We will reserve you a table in a separate dining room and issue you
a credit of € 10 for your meal!
Thank you for your understanding that we cannot refund uneaten
meals.
Our dining areas
The "Stub’n"
In former times when our hotel in Oberammergau was still used for farming,
this room was the "Stub'n", a German word that means "parlour" or "living
room". We decided to keep not only the name, but also its cosy atmosphere which
is reflected in our traditional decor and comfortable colours. The "Stub'n" of
our restaurant in Oberammergau is especially popular in the cold times of the
year thanks to the tiled stove (our tip: enjoy the warmth at the tables near
the stove!).
The "Hafner"
The old name of the house, "Beim Hafner", lends its name to this part of our
hotel restaurant in Oberammergau. This was originally a potter's workshop where
"Hafen" - earthen vessels - were produced.
The Glen
The name of this dining room comes from its murals of the dramatic Wolf's
Glen scene from Carl-Maria von Weber's opera "Der Freischütz". A tiled stove in
this dining room adds to the cosy, warm atmosphere.
The "Kuch’l" with hotel bar
Our "Kuch'l" is located where the former kitchen of the farmhouse was. It was
a bit lower than the other rooms and therefore today you can reach this dining
room by going down a few steps. Adjacent to and a few steps above the "Kuch'l"
is our hotel bar where you are welcome to enjoy a drink after your
meal.
